As a Financial Institution (FSI), Export Import (EXIM) Bank of Malaysia Berhad need to maintain the Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (SWIFT) system; a system provides secure network that enables financial institutions worldwide to send and receive information about financial transactions in a secure, standardized and reliable environment

Challenges:

Upgrade for new SWIFT version is due and new regulatory requirements require new infrastructure to support asynchronous replication between Production Site and Disaster Recovery (DR) Site

Solutions:

We design and deployed new server and Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure that capable to do asynchronous replication that writes data to the primary storage array first and then commits data to be replicated to disk-based journal at DR site

MARDI is a leading government agency in agricultural research and development. As a research compound for thousands of agricultural and livestock scientist, IT infrastructure in MARDI must be able to accommodate high volume of research data, manage and store it in a reliable manner

Challenges:

With 34 branch offices throughout the country and Internet as one of major communication medium, scientists and researchers starts to experienced slowness in the network and communications. The head office itself is a huge 40-years old campus with more than 40 networked buildings. IT department need to assess their whole infrastructure and pinpoint what component that may cause the slowness experienced by their users.

Solutions:

We brought-in team of 20 experts to assess the whole IT infrastructure in the campus and off-campus. Assessment being done on various angle that includes network and security design, server and storage infrastructure, virtualization platform, network and critical application performance and forensic on user behaviour in campus network. Terabytes of data were collected, massaged and analysed into user readable results before represented to multiple committee in the organization and eventually developed a 5-years infrastructure upgrade blueprint for the agency

Malaysia Rail Link (MRL) is a Government Linked Company (GLC) that responsible for East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project that linked Klang Valley to East Coast. Project that will took 7 years expected to be completed in 2025. Once completed, MRL will operate 23 train stations, hire 7,000 workers and transport over 5.4 million passengers annually

Challenges:

With plan to be able to host systems for 23 train stations and 7,000 workers, MRL started off by using Microsoft Azure platform. Unexpected hiring growth in one year forced them to deploy on-premise infrastructure without compromising current cloud infrastructure that already in production

Solutions:

We design and validate their on-premise infrastructure from scratch and integrate it with their cloud platform. Mixed Windows and Linux platform and hurdle to integrate various networking components require our engineers to experiments with many kinds of products from various manufacturers and simulate countless combination of integration simulation. MRL now is running both its on-premise and cloud platform seamlessly and its infrastructure is now expansion-proof

Ministry of Agriculture and Agro-based Industry (MOA) developed a 5-pillars blueprint of Agriculture Flagship (AGF) with main objective to digitalize and systemize incentive and subsidy system to agriculture entrepreneurs and field farmers. This system is called Agriculture Intelligence System (AIS) and its vision is to deliver an integrated and complete info structure and infrastructure along the agro food industry value chain for the achievement of higher productivity and income to its stakeholders

Challenges:

AIS is expected to cater concurrent of at least 2,000 users and to be accessed by government agencies, member of parliament, field officers, entrepreneurs and farmers through various method e.g. laptop, desktop, tablet, phone and mobile applications thus, a high end infrastructure need to be in place to host this applications

Solutions:

We design a private cloud that takes into consideration the performance needs of application processing, network access and also high level of network security. The implementation period is very short; from kick-off to sign-off in less than 8-weeks’ time and our engineering team proudly able to finish this high computing infrastructure to be ran on-time

CH operates two offshore platforms; Cakerawala (CKP) and Puteri Cakerawala (FSO) located at Block A-18 in the 7,250 sq km Joint Development Area (JDA) between Thailand and Malaysia

CH is in the midst of upgrading their server and storage infrastructure at both of their platform and require assistance from Service Integrator company to do assessment on current infrastructure and propose new sizing based on current resource usage. After delivery of new equipment, Service Integrator awarded must also do the deployment and maintenance services on the offshore platform

Serba Dinamik Group Berhad has been awarded a project by Sustainable Energy Development Authority of Malaysia (SEDA) and One River Power Sdn Bhd, a Sabah state-owned company to develop three (3) Hydro Power Station at reserve forest in Bengkoka and Togohu River in Kota Marudu, Sabah

Challenges:

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system need to send data from each Hydro Power Station to PPU in Kota Marudu. To enable this connectivity, communication facilities needs to be deployed at each location. Location of all power station are un-explored reserve forest thus, everything need to be built from ground up to enable communication facilities

Solutions:

We design and implement communication facilities from ground up; ethernet demarcation, TCP/IP packet conversion, SCADA IEC standard conversion, network security and also backup power. No communication facilities in-place force our engineer to carefully plan and re-run dozens of simulations before start deployment at each site
